For children, Halloween is a magical month or year. Playing dress-up is fun any day of the week, but on this day, everyone is playing along! Both boys and girls alike get to get into character and imagine they are their favorite superheroes, cartoon characters, a princess, a doctor, or anything else their big imaginations can conjure. Letting their creativity soar as they take on the role and personality of their chosen character is a fun and exciting experience for all involved.

 Many place take this possiblity to live out their fairy-tale fantasies and get into character like a beautiful princess from their favorite book or Disney movie. We at my Girl Dress love to clean through our huge “closet” and discover dresses that would be the perfect fit. Cinderella/Fairy Princess A light blue, flowing girls christmas dress is perfectly for this. Add a tiara and some “glass slippers” and you have yourself a costume! Hair should be thrown in a clean, classic bun to hold the costume all together. Belle/Fairy Tale Princess We aren’t sure about the beast, but in a dress like this, we know who the beauty is going to be! A satiny, yellow dress produces the perfect Belle or elegant ballroom princess.

To add to the costume, purchase white, elbow-length gloves, and pretty treasure jewelry. Pretty Little Red Riding Hood Any pretty red dress will do, but the fancier, the better! Your little one will be the prettiest Red Riding Hood on the block! Take a dress like this one, curl her hair, and add a red hood/cape combo and you nailed it. Ladybug If you have a red dress with black spots or polka dots like the one above, an adorable ladybug is the perfect costume. All you need are some black wings and she’s ready to fly! Tinker Belle/Fairy As one of the most loving characters in any child’s story, Tinker Belle is a wonderful costume to get into character as for any litttle lady!
